INTRODUCTION

Being Kind Foundation was Officially declared in November 2013 by Brother V.M. Fawaz, A young persevering lad who work very silently and diligently towards his ultimate objective, with the intention of serving funds for the education of underprivileged students around the country. We are receiving funds from Sri Lankans and Sri Lankans who works in Middle East, UK and Malaysia for this cause. In 2014 we completed our registration process as per the law in Sri Lanka.

oBJECTIVE

The main objective of being kind foundation is to help the less fortunate students who are not financially stable to carry out their education regardless of faith,race,region or gender, by offering them financial scholarships & moral support/guidance through evaluators to elevate their education and make them successful in the future to exploit poverty of our country.

OUR HISTORY

Giving life to long desire of V. M. Fawaz, the Founder, Chief of Administrator, he embarked on his journey by fostering one unprivileged child in the year 2008 under his sponsorship until he formed the brain child ‘’Being Kind Foundation’’ in Colombo in collaboration with like-minded individuals in the year 2013.

BKF was officially preceded as per Sri Lankan Law in the year 2014 under registration number Reg. No. GAM/WAT/SUBA 171. The inaugurating board included – Chief of Administrator – V.M. Fawaz, Finance Administrator – A.B.A. Junkeer, President – Thasleem Slamath, General Secretary – M.R.M. Zaharan and Treasurer – R.M.A. Anas.

Simultaneously, another ExCo was formed by the founder Mr. V. M. Fawaz from the parent association, in Doha, Qatar, under the leadership of President, Farhan Nizam, General Secretary – Shanaz Shabdeen, Vice President – Shihan Nawas and Fund Manager – Shafni Arooz in the year 2014. In recognition of well reputed community services, BKF Doha was further strengthened by receiving most prestigious affiliation from Sri Lankan embassy, state of Qatar in the year 2017.

MESSAGE FROM FOUNDER AND CHIEF OF ADMINISTRATION

Meaning of life! Something elusive and fleeting, yet the very thing that our minds crave in quiet moments of solitude. As a lone traveler who is on a journey, we learn as we go, gain knowledge, make mistakes, learn from them and mature in experience, earn and retain some wealth, care and fret over our health, and other trivial and essential matters in the process what is called, life! And then, we leave this world empty handed, just as we came in to it. Yet in this apparent, unyielding circle, we seek and strive for our own visions of change.
